Safety standards

Identity
SideQuest personnel should be properly identified before carrying out an assignment.
Screening
Depending on the assignment, SideQuest may require identity verification, references and appropriate background screening. Vulnerable Sector Checks are used only where appropriate and legally applicable.
Authorization
SideQuest only performs tasks that the customer has authorized.
Documentation
Photos, video, receipts and written reports can document the work performed.
Transparent pricing
Customers receive a quote before paid work begins.
Secure information
Customer addresses, access instructions, photos, documents and other private information should only be accessible to people who need it to perform the assignment.
Screening
Who may work on your SideQuest?
Today: SideQuest is a new, owner-operated business. As SideQuest grows: personnel and contractors may be subject to appropriate screening depending on the assignment. Potential measures may include:
- Identity verification
- Reference checks
- Criminal record checks where appropriate
- Vulnerable Sector Checks where legally applicable and appropriate
- Relevant experience verification
- Assignment-specific requirements
These are policies for future personnel, not a statement that every check has already been completed for every person.
Insurance & responsibility
Honest about coverage.
SideQuest is establishing appropriate commercial insurance coverage as the business launches. Details of applicable coverage will be provided before services requiring specific insurance protection are accepted.
Your information matters
Private information stays private.
Depending on the SideQuest, we may handle property addresses, access instructions, phone numbers, photos, videos, documents, vehicle information and business information.
- Only collect information needed to complete the SideQuest.
- Only authorized personnel should have access to sensitive job information.
- Customer information is never exposed publicly.
Responsible property access
Access is a privilege, not a given.
- Customer authorization is required.
- Access instructions are treated as sensitive information.
- SideQuest personnel should only access areas necessary for the requested assignment.
- Keys, access codes and credentials should be handled responsibly.
- If another contractor requires access, the customer should be informed where appropriate.

When another professional is involved
We'll always tell you who is doing the work.
Some SideQuests may require licensed trades, contractors, mechanics, cleaners, movers or other third-party providers. We clearly identify when another provider is performing the actual work.
SideQuest does not claim to be licensed for professional services. Where specialized or licensed work is required, SideQuest can coordinate with an appropriately qualified provider.
Safety has limits
What SideQuest will not do.
SideQuest will not knowingly facilitate:
- Illegal activity
- Unauthorized access
- Fraud
- Handling prohibited goods
- Unauthorized financial transactions
- Unsafe activities
- Work requiring a professional licence when the person performing it is not appropriately qualified
SideQuest may decline unusual or potentially risky requests.
Our verified agent network
As SideQuest grows, assignments may be completed by approved SideQuest Agents.
As SideQuest grows, assignments may be completed by approved SideQuest Agents who meet the requirements for the work they perform.
Not every agent is eligible for every assignment. Access to jobs can depend on screening, experience, skills, location and assignment requirements.
